It is estimated that nearly 85 per cent of all teenagers in the United States will get acne and all of them will be looking for ways to treat it. Acne can not only become painful but it can become embarrassing and leave the child with low self esteem.

If not treated properly acne can also leave permanent scars that will be with the person for the rest of their lives. Acne is a blockage of the hair follicles in the skin and it is difficult to tell from person to person how acne will affect someone. There are things you can do from special cleansers to acne spot treatment but it is important to understand when it is time to stop putting faith in the cleansers and the acne spot treatment and get to a doctor.
